Chris + Lindsay's Covid Elopement

After witnessing that moment, you can understand why not even a global pandemic and missing family could stop these two from tying the knot. Chris, Lindsay, and a total of 8 guests - including the minister and two photographers - celebrated their special day at the HMAS Watson Chapel where Chris was finishing his naval training later that month. Despite the chapel's covid restrictions and their family being separated by border closures, the atmosphere in that small space was electric with an intimacy hard to replicate.

HMAS Watson Chapel! Unfortunately, the Chapel is only available for current and former members of the Australian Defence Force and their family members. But enjoy these photos of that gorgeous view!
Tips to take away:
- Feel free to break tradition. Lyndsay turned up to the location in comfy clothes and saw Chris before getting into her wedding gown. It created a more relaxed atmosphere but didn't detract from the sacredness of the walk down the aisle (just look at Chris' tears!)
- You don't need to put your marriage on hold because of a pandemic! If 2020 taught us anything, it's that you can't predict what life will throw at you, so why wait 'til things go back to "normal" to get married? Just make sure you have someone ready to organise the live stream so your loved ones can still be involved
